THE SHINING for a new generation

"I was so pleasantly surprised by the characters in this book. Danny and Warren were so well-drawn, and I loved reading a book with two protagonists whose journeys paralleled one another. But THAT ENDING, THOUGH!

"Look, if you want to read a fast-paced character study, this is the book for you. Someone needs to get a copy of this to Stephen King, because I think it'd give him nightmares!" - Amazon Review

A Page Turner!

"Set in the 1970’s, “Unnatural Selection” is the story of two men: Danny, a Vietnam vet who makes risky choices to support his family and live up to expectations and Warren, a researcher by day, with a passion for the Black Rights movement, who he discovers he’s about to be a father. While it seems these two men have nothing in common, they share more than either of them know. “Unnatural Selection” is the tempting introduction to a series that is only just beginning to reveal the darkness that lurks." - Amazon Review

Hard to stop reading. You have been warned ;)

"A great sequel to Unnatural Selection, this book is tense, fast-paced and engaging. It follows the drama and the pain that go with being Warren Priest II, and I found it very hard to put down. It is excellently written – and beautifully edited (what a pleasure)! You won’t have to read the first book to thoroughly enjoy this one, but since they’re so well-written, why not go for it?" - Amazon Review

Unputdownable! I had to know what happened next!

"I lost sleep over this book! I was hooked by the story, drawn in by the characters, and had to keep turning the pages to find out what would happen next. I've never read anything quite like it... and I'm not saying more because I don't want to reveal spoilers. I read this book without reading book one and the only thing I didn't realize right away is that the story takes place in the 80's (which I would have known had I read the first book). Now I have to go back and read the first one!

"Warren and Winnie are likable characters, and Bickham does a great job at drawing the reader in to feel their pain. He paints stunning visuals with words, allowing the scenes to play out before me as though I were watching them. Nicely done!" - Amazon Review
